THE REGULAR   THE REGULAR   THE REGULAR   THE REGULAR   THE REGULAR

The Regular is an online space where food lovers can read up on city-specific restaurant recommendations, chef interviews, and helpful kitchen accoutrements.

The brand design is centered around nostalgia, comfort, and warmth. Inspiration for colors and groovy typography were taken from 60’s movie posters.

DELIVERABLES: (1) Branding (2) Web design (3) Art direction (4) Instagram templates (5) Image sourcing
IN COLLABORATION WITH: Rosie Ellis (Founder)

A playful scramble, a mess in the kitchen, magnets on the fridge holding memories, and alphabet soup — a reminder that everyone’s habits vary.

Instagram templates were created based on types of articles found on the website: recipe cards, interviews, city suggestions.

The color palette is brought to life in each color-coded section of the website.

STUDIO DUDE  STUDIO DUDE  STUDIO DUDE  STUDIO DUDE  STUDIO DUDE

Twelve years after the launch of Studio Dude, the design studio requested a logo update and rebrand to something that better reflected their style. Pivoting from a silhouette of a man on a penny farthing, the new logo captures the playful and collaborative nature of the studio while still paying tribute his gentlemanly nature.

DELIVERABLES: (1) Branding (2) Website (work in progress)
IN COLLABORATION WITH: Studio Dude

The current logo is a combination of the penny farthing and the gentleman of the original logo. Fear not, Mr. Dude still has a method of transportation with his rollerskates when he goes around to deliver his newsletter.

LUCKY SWEATER   LUCKY SWEATER   LUCKY SWEATER   LUCKY SWEATER   LUCKY SWEATER

Lucky Sweater is a clothing swap and retail platform that is focused on creating a community between people that are interested in sustainability and eco-friendly brands.

DELIVERABLES: (1) Branding (2) Instagram (3) App design (4) Tagline (5) Newsletter

LOGOS: The logo needed to feel a little quirky and loved like the clothes being swapped on the app. Some letters were exagerated to feel more off balanced.

LOGO MARK: Inspired by a piece of thread, the initials of lucky sweater also show the journey an item takes to get to its new owner.

ICONS
: It was important that throughout the app each item felt like it was part of the same vocabulary.

APP DESIGN: I suggested a general design direction for the user’s profile page and their community board. The focus on the profile page is to firstly provide insight on the individual but secondly, allow fellow community members to either suggest specific garments/brands or make switching pieces easier.

Danielle Colding is an interior design studio based in NYC. She often juxtaposes contrasting textures and colors in her environments.

DELIVERABLES: (1) Branding

IN COLLABORATION WITH: Elsa de Berker (Creative Director)

PRIMARY LOGO: Each letter is to feel like an object. The Ns provide softness, like knees curled on a loveseat.
SECONDARY MARK: This secondary mark echoes the idea that the letters are both space and object.
The D and C act as rooms, blocks, side tables, and stools.
